Zoning Board of Appeals Minutes June 24, 2015
A public hearing before the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Busti was held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town of Busti Administration Building, 125 Chautauqua Avenue, Lakewood, New York, to consider the following application:
Application of Tim A. Young, 1020 Southwestern Drive, Jamestown, New York for an area variance for deck. Property is owned by him and known as Section 420.00, Block 2, Lot 15 of the official tax map of the Town of Busti. Property is in the Conservation/Agricultural District. Tim Young recused himself from entering into decision on the application, as he is a board member with an interest in the application. The Board reviewed the balancing test for a variance and determined that the benefit to the applicant outweighed any detriment to the neighborhood. Richard Nygren made a motion to grant the application of Tim A. Young to construct a 8’ x 12’ deck addition to his barn, to be no closer than 30’ to the east property boundary. It will be a raised deck with a railing and stairs to the ground. Seconded by Doug Hooper. All aye. Carried.
Upon motion made by Robert Whitman and seconded by Doug Hooper, the meeting was adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
