A public hearing before the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Busti was held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 6:30 pm at the Town of Busti Administration Building, 125 Chautauqua Avenue, Lakewood, New York, to consider the following application:
Application of John Schnars, 1741 Forest Avenue Extension, Jamestown, New York for an area variance for an addition and garage. Property is in the Conservation/Residential District, owned by him and known as Section 404.01, Block 1, Lot 14 of the official tax map of the Town of Busti. The Board reviewed the balancing test for a variance and determined that the benefit to the applicant outweighed any detriment to the neighborhood. Tim Young motioned to grant the application of John Schnars for a 12’ x 32’ addition and a 24’ x 32’ garage. A breezeway of approximately 10’x 10’ will connect the garage to the addition. A variance of .6 acre is granted for lot size and 45’ for lot width. A variance of 25’ is granted on the north side property boundary. Seconded by David Josephson. All aye. Carried.
Upon motion made by Tim Young, the meeting was adjourned at 6:40 pm.
